Tanya Hale, the Dinwiddie County Chamber of Commerce founder in 2006. Instrumental in bringing together a team of local business leaders to form the Dinwiddie Chamber, Hale and her Board of Directors have taken this grass roots chamber to over 70 members strong. The Dinwiddie Chamber of Commerce continues to grow and be active in the Dinwiddie County business community.

President and majority owner of Hale’s Electrical Service, Inc., an electrical contractor specializing in Residential and Commercial Generators, Tanya began this contracting business with husband, David, in 2003. Incorporating in July, 2007, making it a Small Woman and Minority owned business, Hale’s Electrical Service, Inc. is currently number two in the Richmond market for Generac Power Systems and in the top five of a five state region.

Currently Tanya serves as the Dinwiddie County Chamber of Commerce representative for all BRAC and Fort Lee events. She also serves on the Petersburg Area Regional Tourism Board (PART), the Crater Planning Economic Development Board (CEDS) and the Crater Area Tourism Board. Active in her own community, Tanya Hale is a Board member for the Crater Work Force Investment Board, a Chairman of the Finance Team at Smyrna Baptist Church, former Committee Chair for Operation Christmas Child, a member of the Dinwiddie County Public Schools Career and Technical Education Board, Special Task force, Dinwiddie County Tourism and Economic Development five-year planning committees, as well as many other committees within the county and Tri-Cities, working with education, citizen involvement and business leadership.

Along with all her community service she also makes time for her family. She is a mother of two, Tanya’s oldest son, Brad, is an Airman in the United States Air Force and her youngest son, Wilson, attends Dinwiddie Junior High School and is involved in the JROTC program.
