Due to the forecast of heavy rain over the week-end, paired with the already saturated ground from the recent snow, the difficult decision has been made to cancel this year’s parade. We share in everyone’s disappointment as we have also put many man hours into preparations and planning. As always, protecting property and participants/spectators is our first priority.
We apologize for the inconvenience to those who planned to participate and look forward to next year’s parade being bigger and better!
You can still plan to spend your day in Dinwiddie County! DCPRT’s “Celebrate the Season” event will be going strong on Saturday the 15th from 11am until 4pm at Dinwiddie Elementary School. Come on out and find that one of a kind gift for that person on your list that’s hard to buy for, or a gift for yourself. With over 44 vendors local vendors to choose from, there is something for everyone! Shopping, food, and activities for the kids!
